You may have seen that Internet2’s TechEXtra Kick-off is coming October 6-7 — two half-days that will kick off a series of virtual events providing an opportunity for learning and collaboration. InCommon has scheduled its traditional TechEx programs,  CAMP and ACAMP, for November 16-20, 2020 (likely 4-5 hours per day). A community program committee is working through the final schedule and has released a call for proposals.

The CAMP (Campus Architecture and Middleware Planning) portion of the meeting takes place Monday and Tuesday, November 16-17. The program typically includes case studies, best practices, and solutions to trust and identity challenges — all developed from proposals submitted by community members. The call for participation is open through September 23. That web page includes a suggested list of topic areas and a submission form.

Do you have an interesting project involving another campus stakeholder (registrar,  librarian, facility manager?)? We’ll provide that person a complementary registration when they present with a registered identity and access management professional.

Advance CAMP (ACAMP) will take place Wednesday through Friday, November 18-20. ACAMP is where the international identity and access management community gathers to work on long-range and global challenges. The program committee is exploring ways to replicate (as much as possible) such face-to-face features as the unconference agenda-setting, simultaneous sessions, and small group interaction.

Registration for CAMP and ACAMP will open August 24. Until then, save the dates and please consider submitting a CAMP proposal. The submission deadline is September 23.
